Over the last 10 years, I have run well over 100 Sales Explosion Programs. In every program, we have many delegates who are struggling to make money in their lives and businesses. By the end of the program (2 ½ days later), every person knows how to make money and has experienced making money.

I teach that making money is not hard. Why? Because to make money, the core skill you need is to the ability to SELL. When you can do that, you can make money. By the end of the program, they don’t only learn how to make money, but they actually experience making money during the program. For some of them, they make more money in the 2 ½ days than they have done in weeks or even in months!

Becoming rich is the same. You can become rich overnight. You can win the lottery, you can sell an investment, you can cash in your retirement annuity. You can close a massive deal. For many years, I didn’t have the problem of making money. In fact, I have made a lot of money over the past 10 years. But the problem I had was I couldn’t keep that money and I couldn’t get it to work for me. You see, maybe like you, I got stuck working FOR money.

What I have had to learn is that that there’s a big difference between working to make a lot of money and creating wealth. The difference is understanding what it means to work for money versus making money work for you. Creating wealth is dependent on your ability to make the money you have made, make more money.

Becoming wealthy is a process. It takes time. It takes education. It takes discipline. Becoming wealthy is a mindset, not a bank balance or a pay cheque. It is about daily, deliberate actions that are pursued relentlessly. It means finding the right teachers and mentors and submitting to their guidance and trusting their instruction. Building Wealth means submitting to a course of action, making mistakes, and learning as you move along the journey.

Unlike making money, building wealth is the longer-term strategy that makes your money work for you, instead of you working for your money. The wealthy 5% of the world think very differently to the poor and middle class 95% of the world. They know the Game of Wealth. They know the rules to the Game of Wealth. They know how to apply those rules to play the Game of Wealth. Most importantly, they play the Game of Wealth by taking the actions of the wealthy. Real wealth comes from using the right education to affect the right outcome.

Are you ACTING RICH or BEING RICH? The difference is in the mindset you are developing. At the end of the day, it’s easy to Act Rich, anyone can Act Rich. The question is, are you really Becoming RICH?
