M&E Workshop for the NPO Sector and Individuals Working for Government: Theory of Change and Logic Modelling
Tue Apr 30, 09:00 - Tue Apr 30, 16:00
Salesian Life Choices
ABOUT
Do you want to measure the impact of your NPO’s work, but you don’t know where to start? Do you want information on “outputs”, “outcomes” and “indicators”, but the terminology confuses you?
A theory of change and a logic model are the basis of any M&E system. Developing a theory of change will help you define how programme activities (WHAT IS DONE) lead to programme outcomes and impact (WHY IT WAS DONE). A logic model unpacks how you measure this.
At Life Choices we’ve successfully implemented an internal monitoring and evaluation (M&E) system and we’re on a mission to help other NPOs do the same. This one-day workshop will include inputs from presenters, discussions, and practical activities where you’ll develop a theory of change in Lucidchart and develop a logic model.
Who is this workshop for?
This workshop is for anyone working in the development sector or government, interested in learning how to set up an M&E system and understanding what information needs to be obtained to measure programme success.
The Day’s Focus Areas:
A theory of change and a logic model are the basis of any M&E system. Developing a theory of change will help your organisation define and communicate how your programme activities (WHAT YOU DO) lead to your programme outcomes and impact (WHY YOU DO IT). A logic model unpacks how you will measure this.

Testimonials from previous workshop participants
"Life Choices helped to demystify Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning for us in a really simple and easy to follow manner. It helped us to see the bigger picture of why we do what we do, how we can measure our success and continue to improve the impact we make."
Taryn Casey, CEO Edufundi
"Having a simple yet comprehensive framework in place for our small organisation has provided great clarity for our work plan. I especially love that the team are all conversant and more confident with logic model terminology."
