LOMBARDINI GAME FARM TO HOST KOUGA RHINO 4X4 CHALLENGE

Off the beaten track, obstacles, mud pools and more…..

The Kouga Rhino 4x4 challenge is taking place on Thursday 22 December and Friday 23 December 2022. The first of its kind in Kouga. This event is not only a 4x4 event but made for the family and caters for everyone. The event will take place at the beautiful Lombardini Game Farm between Jeffreys Bay and Humansdorp, also home of the Kouga Rhino Sanctuary.

The event has a variety of activities available for every taste:

4 x4 challenge as the main draw card over the 2 days

Trail run

Swimming in the private dam

Big float on the dam

Stalls

Motor Expo

Game walks

Beer garden

The route will start with an experienced crew from Off Road Solutions that will inform the drivers before hand of the route and then the individual drivers will follow a rugged trail through the game reserve meandering between game ,hills and stunning scenery. The second part of the route the drivers will follow the markers to a remote part of the reserve filled with muddy pools and a treacherous obstacle course to test both vehicle and driver. This is not for the faint hearted.

The route opens daily from 08:00. Bring your family and friends and enjoy the bushveld and outdoors.

A Rhino dash trail run of 3.5km or for the fit a 7Km will take place on Thursday 22 December at 08:00 for the whole family to enjoy. The runners will run on the jeep track and get to see some free roaming wild animals on route as the trail run is set in the game reserve.

What better way to cool off and enjoy a cold one after the Rhino Dash trail run than the private Lombardini dam .The Lombardini dam will be another activity to enjoy on these 2 days as the visitors will make use of the dam to swim, to float and make use of the amenities at the dam.(Bring your own inflatables and camp chairs) The Lombardini tractor will transport the guest from the main events area to the dam and back hourly. What an experience!!!!

There is still more fun to be had.

Guided game walks will also take place over the 2 days. The guided game walk will take visitors along the river and promises beautiful photos, bird life and the possibility of encountering wild animals. These game walks is very popular so please make sure to make a booking once your ticket is bought.

The Beer garden will be open the whole day with several food and expo stalls.

A traditional Lamb on the spit will end the evening under the African sky on the 23rd of December. Make sure not to miss this!!!!
