Kate Emmerson is a best-selling author (published 3 books and appeared as expert in an award winning USA movie), International speaker, facilitator of transformational retreats and masterminds in idyllic settings and South Africa’s foremost CLUTTER expert. Venetia Howes is passionate about health and fitness. She is on a mission to make women like you reconnect with their bodies and to show them how to - “'EAT, TRAIN, LIVE”. She left 20 years of corporate marketing to follow her passion by launching THE FITWEIGH in 2016. She is a mother, Health Coach, a personal trainer and an entrepreneur using her life experiences to help others transform their lives.

I totally enjoyed the retreat time away, the new friendships that were formed, the sincere and vulnerable sharing of each of the women, in each task or exercise, and the relaxed atmosphere in which we could unpack and deal with our ‘stuff’.
I have taken time to respond to you, as I wanted to see if the SHIFT was real, and I can say it was! I am feeling lighter, haven’t had to revisit some of the stuff that I got rid of, have started walking again and become more conscious of what I am eating, I have also continued the ‘letting go’ from the exercise we did on the Sunday morning – and feeling frikken fantastic. It's very hard to isolate any one thing because I loved it all. So it would have to be the synchronicity of all the processes and how they were woven together with just the right amount of inactivity punctuated with the glorious mealtimes. Lynda Jaros
 
If you are grappling with uncertainties in life (who isn’t!!) and looking for some direction and focus I think this is a wonderful way to kick start the process. I have never felt so invigorated, light and spiritually full as I do after this last weekend! I loved everything and it came at the right time; it was massively healing for me on so many levels; the program was just awesome! The people were amazing! Loved the many, many nuggets of info and processes and tools that were shared. I most definitely recommend this retreat to absolutely everyone! Such a blessing and such a treat to mindfully take time out for myself with Kate and Venetia. I have already implemented some of the tips and tools from the weekend and the change has been mind-blowing! My spot is definitely booked for next year and I can't wait for the next one! Can I attend this weekend retreat on my own?
YES 100%. This retreat is perfect to get away and hone in on some quality downtime and ME time. You can book yourself a single room OR if you want shared accommodation we will match you with another participant. 60% of our retreaters usually come solo.

Can I bring my partner?
This is a women-only retreat. It is wonderful to entice your bestie girlfriend, sister, mother, daughter, business colleagues. We find that 40% of retreaters make it a wonderful weekend to share quality time with a purpose. So who are you going to gather to join you on this adventure?

What if I want to come early or stay later at the Guest lodge?
No problem at all - just chat to Sharon when booking  [email protected] and we will double check availability

How strenuous exercise / body movement component?
The aim of the weekend is to get your body moving and stretching in the form of yoga, pilates and resistance work. Venetia looks after all fitness and mobility levels with an open heart. 

How much group sharing will be asked of me - I'm not really into all of that?
While we have lots of group conversations, and they are an integral part of shifting your life, nothing is obligatory and you will share whatever YOU feel comfortable with? 

How much FREE time will there be?
LOTS! The aim is to REST, RENEW AND REBOOT. We have got you covered!

Will my dietary requirements and allergies be catered for?
Yes, you will be asked that beforehand so the awesome restaurant can cater to all needs. Expect delicious, healthy, energizing food

Am I allowed some wine - we are in wine country?
HELL YEAH! we are all about advocating BALANCE - awesome food, generous portions and lashings of local wine(drinks for your account)

Is there any preparation required?
There will be something we ask you to bring -but isn't time consuming! Not letting the cat out the bag just yet!

I am flying into Cape Town - is there a way to be transferred to and from Stanford Valley Guest Farm?
Yes, depending on numbers, we will make a plan closer to the time!
