Subterrafuge

Subterrafuge, the sculpture, is an attempted comment and an attempt to raise awareness and resistance, not only to the fracking of the Karoo, but to all selfish profit driven destruction of the last few areas of natural wonder still left on the planet. 

This sculpture was partially funded by AfrikaBurn and by the people who worked on it, their friends and families and it was not enough... 
In spite of using recycled and donated materials as much as possible, gifted services, free labour and borrowed tools, Subterrafuge was completed against all financial odds! And it is still standing! 
Now it needs maintenance and preparation for the next AfrikaBurn and its burn.
