ABOUT
SAJE and Jazz in the Native Yards present an afternoon of South African and International Jazz and we celebrate International Jazz Day and Jazz Appreciation Month (JAM).
At 3.00pm we will feature Florence Chitacumbi (vocals) with USA based master of percussion Mino Cinelu (France) and Christophe Bovet (guitar). This performance is part of the South African leg of her pan-African tour which is partially funded by Pro Helvetia.

At 4.00pm we will feature a wonderful quartet featuring Afrika Mkhize - piano (Standard Bank Young Artist for Jazz 2012), Salim Washington (saxophone), Nigerian bassist Amaeshi Ikechi, and drummer Siphiwe Shiburi. This performance forms part of a national tour with funding from the Concerts SA Mobility Fund.
