The time for Linden Market 2019 has arrived and we are so excited about what we have planned for this year. The Autumn Edition will take place on Saturday, 18th of May at the home of the Linden Market - The Botanical Gardens in Emmarentia. Be sure not to miss out and make a note of the dates to save for the rest of the year - 13 July, 28 September and our Christmas Market on 30 November and 1 December.
For the first time ever TLM will be a salsa-ish affair. Bring the family and come join us for some Salsa under the Autumn Sun brought to you by Estilo Cubano. Not only will the adults be entertained, but the little ones can join and get their happy feet moving to the Cuban rhythms of Afro-Cuban Salsa.
The day will kick off with Yoga in the park at 9:00am. Breathe in the fresh autumn air as you relax and leave the stress of the week behind in our much-loved yoga session before the excitement of the market starts.
Once again we have 150 of the most creative, talented local vendors with something for everyone from handmade kids toys and jewelry to plants and proudly South African decor. Even if you just come to browse, the incredible products from the market are now also available at our online shop on our website.
One of the best bands in the South African music scene is back by popular demand. Georgetown Band will be playing their folky tunes, as you enjoy delicious food and drinks under a comfortable shaded area. The rest of the lineup is still to be confirmed, but be sure that we only bring you the best of the best.
With plenty to do for the kids, you can enjoy the shopping and music while they play their hearts out on the jumping castle or get their faces painted. The older kids can bring the 60's back and get creative with Tie Dye, or design and paint their own ceramics with Pick and Paint Ceramics.
The Linden Market is proud to support local charities. This year is no different. Old-favourite Date-a-Dog will be there with their furry bundles of love, which you can take for a walk around the park and maybe adopt, should it be love at first sight. Remember that you can also bring your own puppy to spend the day as TLM is the dog-friendliest market around.
