ABOUT
As Residentia have been in Elder Care for more than 60 years, we are crucially aware of the challenges of elder care, and more specific the care of people who live with Alzheimer’s and Dementia.
In order for us all to survive and ensure a better life for those diagnosed with a form of Dementia, it is important to take hands as Care Partners. The world outside need to be more aware of the reality and challenges when dealing with Dementia. Caregivers need to be educated and facilities need to be reformed into an environment where Dementia Residents can flourish with Dignity. Support groups for families need to be established.
Our aim is to make this an annual event, whereby we can promote awareness, training, knowledge, sponsored support and funds to enable our industry to provide a higher level of care needed. We need to bring companies and organizations on board, pledging their support to this cause, which leaves no family untouched.
- The Launch of the Residentia Dementia Awareness Campaign, will take place at Sorex Estate on the 11th of May 2019.
- On arrival guests will be pulled into a “Vintage Carnival” in the outside arena – from 15h30 to 17h45
- The Show will commence at 18h00 in the indoor arena
- The name of the event is “La Vie Extraordinaire” (meaning extraordinary life; the life of someone living with Dementia)
- It will be an event packed with surprizes and happenings of yester-year, Music, Song, Colour and Dance to transport every member of the audience to “Another World”
- Cast of Performers: The Croons, Nadine, Annie Curtin, Joshua Bouwer and many other surprises
