INTRODUCING

=============================================

=============================================

Amy Ayanda:

Amy Ayanda is a multimedia artist. Having been interested in music from a young age, Amy developed a love for singing and drama culminating in her completion of a degree at the Michaelis School of Fine Art , majoring in painting. Amy Ayanda has a raw, honest and vulnerable writing style, evoking deep emotions in her listeners through honest story telling.

"Her...EP called "Ab Ovo", is an accumulation of interesting instruments, clever lyricism and unexpected, haunting melodies. It is a distinct glimpse into Ayanda's soul, as she uses her powerful voice to ruminate on motherhood and death. "Ab Ovo" is a reflection "on the relationships shared with her mother and daughter, emphasiz[ing] the values of sisterhood and resilience." The EP flows together as if cut by an expert editor. Each track is electric and intoxicating, with a unique sound that was clearly crafted over a lifetime of studying music. The music, though electronic in nature, has an earthly quality in its varying forms that draws the listener inward. This is the kind of music that possesses its own centre of gravity and we're certainly not fighting against it. " - Earmilk

Orah & the Kites:

Orah & The Kites are a melancholic indie/folk band, driven by beautiful melodies, supported by lush harmonies and gentle groove.

The band was formed in 2016 as a trio of best friends consisting of Ntokozo Mzimela (Keys, Vocals, Guitar), Teagyn Gracey (Saxophone & Vocals) and Jaimie De Klerk (Synth & Vocals).

Their delicate writing style has quickly placed them on line ups with Kyp Malone of Tv on The Radio, Dave Depper of Death Cabfor Cutie and Laura Burhenn of The Mynabirds.

We are very excited to host them on our stage this March.
