Come and Pitch it to the Panel and receive expert input. Don’t be scared we are a very friendly and helpful lot :). Details of your idea will be kept strictly confidential with a signed NDA (Non-disclosure Agreement).
On a typical panel you will find a patent attorney (who does patent searches), an industrial designer, a mechanical engineer, an electrical engineer, an expert in funding and marketing as well as experienced inventors. We can also supply material to help you prepare for your pitch.
Each person has one hour in front of the panel and specific times are booked. In order to be able to PITTP, a person must be a paid-up member of the Institute (or become a member). Visit www.iii.org.za to join.
