RUN Belville

ABOUT

Lessons From The Edge - An evening of stories and images from The Great Himalaya Trail, by Dean Leslie.

Join us on the 5th of April at RUN Belville for an intimate, once-off photo exhibition and talk by Dean Leslie about his experience behind the lens following Ryan Sandes and Ryno Griesel as they set the fastest known time for the Great Himalaya Trail – a total of 1,406km in 28 days. Doors open at 18:00 with the presentation starting at 19:00.

Dean Leslie is a filmmaker and cinematographer best known for his work with Salomon and Red Bull. If you’ve watched any of the Salomon running films then you know Dean’s work.

There will be a photo exhibition by Dean showcasing photos from the Great Himalayan Trail project followed by a talk about how they were created and the challenges around creating the film “Lessons From The Edge”. Dean will also be talking about his role in co-producing “The Middle Way”, a film about Joe Grant and his Tour de Fourteeners, a self-powered link up of all of Colorado’s 14,000ft peaks by bike and foot. Both films are featuring at #CTAFF2019 on the 10th of April at the Labia theatre.

Tickets include a free beer from our friends at Jack Black.
