Jewellery-making Hobby Classes First Semester: Feb - May 2019
Jewellery-making Hobby Classes (Weekly Classes) First Semester: Feb - May 2019
Join us in the workshop to make your own silver jewellery. Learn the basic techniques of silversmithing to express your ideas and tap into your creativity in a very unique, hands-on and practical way. It's such a great feeling to be able to say you've made it yourself! You choose your own projects and we will guide you accordingly. Weekly classes are for adults of all ages and varying levels of experience - beginners are most welcome.
Class fees exclude materials and consumables which are available for purchase as and when you need them (approx. R200 - R250 for your first project). Unfortunately no lost wax casting facilities are available, but in these classes you'll learn the process of hand-fabricating silver - smelting, rolling, annealing, filing, soldering, polishing and more. This is the age-old art of the silversmith.
All our classes & workshops are facilitated by Erin Frances, artist and jewellery-maker with a strong creative streak and four year's teaching experience, and her team of dedicated teachers. More info available on our website: www.erinfrancescreative.com.
