ABOUT

ABOUT THIS EVENT

She’s the Boss is an initiative to connect and inspire women in business through skills-development and networking workshops. Hosted by industry leaders and local influencers, the aim is to teach female entrepreneurs and bloggers how to grow and foster their personal brand or business.

We want to create a platform where women and moms can meet up, connect and share their personal journeys and advice. Our vision is to create a supportive movement of women empowering each other and enhancing their businesses through new connections, skills-development and potential collaborations.

And sometimes a girl just needs some wine and girl talk to stay sane in a world of momming and girl bossing hard!

In our first event we have an incredible line up of speakers, ready to teach and inspire you.

Learn and connect while sipping on some wine and rubbing shoulders with local influencers and like-minded women. Come ready with your questions as we will have a panel discussion where you can ask our speakers any questions you like.

The Social Agency & The Fancy Blog
My name is Clerissa a.k.a The Fancy Miss, and the Fancy Blog has been a long standing dream of mine. As a business owner and new mom, I've always wanted a space of my own where I can inspire others with words and showcase beautiful products and finds. I'm a creative at heart and just love stumbling across new and unique finds and places and love to share my discoveries with like-minded individuals. Whether you are a mom, a city girl, plain Jane or aspiring corporate - I believe all us ladies have something in common, and that is our special spirits of passion.

I hope to meet new friends and inspirational women through this site and build a community of supporting women who gather and show love and cheer each other on in life.

So that is my hope and vision for The Fancy, now a bit more about me...
I'm a 30 year old wife and new mom to my precious angel boy Daniel, living in Johannesburg, but born and bred in Pretoria. I started my own business a few years ago called The Social Agency, it's a Digital Boutique Agency specialising in Social Media Management and I just love what it has taught me and the joy it has brought me in feeling empowered and meeting amazing fellow female entrepreneurs and growing with them.

I love pretty things, hence the name the fancy miss! And I love posting about my life adventures and capturing beauty in memories.I decided to start blogging again with the birth of my son and the journey we went through. I found that words really helped me get through some tough moments and perhaps through expressing my thoughts, I can help inspire and support other moms going through tough times.
My little boy was born with CDH (congenital diaphragmatic hernia) and it changed our lives forever and inspired this site. You can read his birth story on my blog.

But here we are now, with a happy & healthy miracle baby and I cherish each day with him on this earth. Together with my family, we are designing a life we LOVE!
If you would like to say hi or share your story, please email me at [email protected] - I would love to connect!

Hey Mama Life Blog

I'm Ashleigh Knox, all the way from South Africa. Im madly in-love to my college love & hubby, Bruce, and our sweet little girls, Kayla Jane (KJ) and Olivia Rose (Livvy) - just fourteen months apart.

Becoming a mama was the best thing to ever happen to our life. After Bruce and I got told we had an 8% chance of ever falling pregnant, due to my PCOS diagnosis, mama life is nothing short of a sweet miracle.

#ImNotJustAMama -

I am a digital marketing manager for some incredible brands by day, and a piña-colada-drinking-in-sneakers-somewhere-close-to-the-beauty-aisle-kinda-girl.

I love design, party planning, health + wellness, crafts, fashion, beauty, make-up, gadgets, and home decor.

While studying nutrition and having PCOS, I also share a lot about my SUGAR FREE lifestyle! #SimplySugarless

We love to share and review our favourite products and brands & our little life adventures through photo squares, video-vlogs, and write-up's.

Thanks for stopping by! Please say hi.

Aisha and Life

Hi, welcome to my blog. I’m a young African woman who loves hair, beauty and being a new mommy, amongst other things. My aim is to inspire and encourage fellow women by giving them a peek into my life, with all of its ups, downs, questions and adventures.

My previous blog My Fro & I followed my natural hair story and became one of the biggest natural hair blogs in South Africa. Like many African women, I had a deeply negative relationship with my hair. I didn’t feel beautiful unless my hair was straight and silky. After many bad hair decisions and a terrible hair loss experience at the salon, I realised that I had an unhealthy view of my hair. I decided to go natural the next day. I’m continuing to share my natural hair journey and more here, on Aisha & Life.

Just A Mamma Blog
Hi, I am Mari-Louise.

A proudly South African, Pretoria mom who hates warm drinks and can’t eat enough salted tomatoes.

In my pre-baby life I used to be a teacher, I used to be an artist, a world-traveller and semi-party animal. Then on the 13th of February 2012, life changed forever! Little Eliana Maria a.k.a Pickle, made me a Mamma (Most amazing title ever, right up there with becoming a Mrs. – EST. 2008).

Fast forward a couple of years and a truck load of ups and downs to now… I am still married to Mr. Perfect, the Candi-clan is growing strong with the addition of Miss Lia Alexandra a.k.a Lillipit, back in October of 2014 and our calm cutie Ava Loïs in July of 2017. Yes, we have THREE beautiful, bubbly girls filling our home with joy, messiness, LOADS of chatter and love.

Challenges are inevitable and even with so much negativity in the world, I am determined to make the most out of this “motherhood journey”. Filling our lives with God, love, adventure, fun and the odd Mojito or two. I share the ups, downs, highs, lows and pajama drill moments as well as some awesome tips, finds and things I am learning as we go along.

Welcome to the sisterhood of motherhood. I invite you to be part of this mamma-squad of girl-bosses, mompreneurs and awesome stay-at-home mammas, fiercely raising their tribe coz deep down we are all “just mammas”.
