ABOUT
Journey with Just Breathe over the next few months as we take you outdoors and out of your comfort zone with our 5-part yoga and hike series hosted at Giba Gorge.
Part 1 Roots will start you off with the basics of yoga flow, introduce you to the key standing poses with a few hidden challenges in between. The key focus will be on grounding and strengthening, slowly building our yoga foundation from the roots up!
This event is for you if:
- You want to get started with yoga but perhaps find a studio setting too intimidating.
- You want to release tight muscles and improve your overall strength and flexibility.
- You already love and enjoy yoga.
- You love the outdoors and look for any excuse to go outside.
Event Programme:
06h45 - Arrival & Registration
07h00 - Yoga
08h30 - Guided Nature Walk; introduction to mindfulness
Please arrive a few minutes before the start of class to settle in.
Limited mats available on request. Please bring your own yoga mat where possible, or a towel if you don’t have one.
Cost:
R160 per person per session. (PS: Attend a session and receive a discount on the next )
This includes your entrance fee to Giba Gorge, a 75-minute yoga session, as well as a leisurely hike guided by one of Giba Gorge’s conservation gurus.
About the upcoming events in the series:

Part 2: Fly (May 2019)
Introduction to arm balances and core activation. We will also focus on some wrist and shoulder TLC.
Part 3: Restore (July 2019)
Introduction to the basic tools for a quieter practice. We’ll touch on breathing, stretching and beginner meditation techniques.
Part 4: Balance (September 2019)
Introduction to inversions. In this session we’ll be taking our practice upside down for a new fresh and playful perspective on life.
Part 5: Energise (November 2019)
Introduction to backbends. Backbends (or heart-openers) are generally energising and uplifting, giving us that extra bit of an energy boost to see the year

About Mags
Mags started her yoga journey in 2010 and is a 200hr Vinyasa and Satyananda trained yoga instructor. She teaches weekly at Virgin Active Hillcrest and Limber Lotus Lifestyle Studio and also offers various pop-up events and retreats throughout the year.
