ABOUT

Drink Talk Learn (DTL) is a community happening, where everyone gets a chance to make themselves heard. Everyone has 3-mins to present something that they want to get on their soapbox about while having a good time. Whether your goal is to rant, share or inform, Conversations2 Co-working’s DTL night is bound to be illuminating.

THE RULES…….

1. Come Prepared. No slackers allowed! You have to prepare a PowerPoint presentation to accompany your diatribe of Three Minutes. Not Over. Not Under. Just Three Minutes.

2. If you don’t stick to Three Minutes, you’ll have to finish your drink (it doesn’t have to be alcohol). If you do not have a drink one will be poured for you. Then you can restart your presentation but be warned… you’ll have to repeat the above process for every minute you go over.

3. As with any good soapbox moment, heckling from the audience will be allowed if it is amusing and brief.

4. Hecklers will be judged by their peers. Death by Screech will be the punishment if you are judged and found wanting.

5. Your drink doesn’t need to be boozy, but it should be difficult to chug.

7. BYOB it’s a community event so bring one for you and maybe some to share with the crew!

6. If you were planning to set your presentation on a automatic timer you will be penalised. AND WE WILL MAKE YOU DRINK

MAKING A PRESENTATION IS REQUIRED

Did we mention you need to make a Three Minute presentation on your topic of choice? Like, there is no point if you don’t so you have to. You just do.

Dress Code: we were going to say business casual, but then we thought we’d leave it up to you.

What will be provided

1. An endless supply of filtered water, no really, we will give you all you can drink

2. A comfy chair

3. An opportunity to spread your ideas

4. Did we mention you need to BYOB? We will give you a glass to drink it out of. We are not savages.

5. Snacks. We wouldn’t expect you to drink on an empty tummy!

Drink & Driving is no good for anyone, be responsible use a ride buddy!
