Join members of the Lockdown Recipe Story-telling Book group for a picnic under the oaks at Oak Valley Estate, Elgin.
This event, hosted by Fahiem Stellenboom, is free of charge to attend, but bookings must be made in advance as a ticket is required to enter.
Tru-Cape Fruit Marketing is hosting their Heritage Orchard Open Day, also on Saturday, February 26 at 11.30am, for an opportunity to see, taste and learn more about apple varieties that are 100-years or older and no longer in commercial production.
The guided walkabout through the orchard, which is opposite from the location of the picnic, will take about 90-minutes and is also free of charge to attend.
It is important to note that everything must be brought with and taken home again. The nearest toilet to the location is at the gatehouse as you enter Oak Valley Estate and takes about five-minutes to reach by car.
