Family 5km Run

ABOUT

The Family Run aims to focus on family wellness because FAMILY IS IMPORTANT. Make time to exercise and balance your life by walking or running for 5 km.

By registering, you are also helping to create an education trust and establishing a legacy for our children. We’re chasing a strong education foundation that results in our children attaining university degrees, and YOU are part of making it happen.

The Family Run is an event for young and old. Those not participating in the run can enjoy the festivities in the Kids Corner:

• Face painting
• Jumping castle

Your ticket includes:

• Entry into the park (and access to all the race festivities)
• Bragging rights (when you cross the line)
• A goodie bag (to the first 100 racers to cross the line)

Tickets can be purchased online with a valid credit card, debit card or by Instant EFT via the ticketing page of this site from 18 January 2019 till 28 March 2019.

Parking

Parking inside the park is limited capacity of 150, so be early! Parking is available across from the park, capacity of 300, next to DF Malan High School.

Things to remember! 

• The event takes place in Jack Muller – Danie Uys Park, corner of Frans Conradie and Charl Cronje Drive, Bellville, 7530.

• The course is between 2,3 laps and 3,5 laps depending on whether there is an upgrade or alteration in the park which takes place from time to time. We will mostly be running 2.3 laps but when pathways (where we run or walk) are upgraded the lap will be shortened as we cannot use the full normal path. This will result in more laps to complete the full 5km.

• Ticket sales close 30 March 2019.
