Mixed Media Art Classes for Adults

Friday morning MIXED MEDIA fun!

Exploring the myriad of techniques that Mixed Media has to offer, this course provides the perfect platform to push boundaries, explore new ways of seeing and combine the sheer number of techniques that using different medium uncovers. 

Some of the materials and techniques we will be playing with include wet-on-wet inks, painting, charcoal drawing, touch drawing, collage, rubbing and anything from boot polish to Bostik and in between! Participants will be encouraged to let the medium dictate undiscovered creative pathways and incorporate them into new ways of seeing.

WHERE: Set in the beautiful St. Catherine home garden studio of Vicki Penfold, artists have the benefit of plein air creating ( outside in the open air), allowing them to readily engage all of their senses and contribute to magical emotional responses to new creations.

DATES: 25th January, 1, 8, 15, 22nd February, 1, 8 & 15th March 2019 (8 lessons)

TIME: 9.30 am - 12.30 pm

COST: R 3080 per term (payable in 2 installments of R 1540)

ALL MATERIALS ARE INCLUDED:

The studio is equipped with all the art materials needed to produce your art work... inks, charcoal, pastels, oil paint, acrylic paint, magazines, glitters, found things, forgotten things, brushes, palette knives, artist card, canvas paper, glues, bits and bobs etc. 

Light refreshments, teas, coffees & refreshing spritzers also provided.

About your facilitator: Victoria is an artist with 15 years' experience in oil and multi media technique. She has studied under Debbie Field, (Founder member of Artists Co-Operative), Hayley Manson (ASTAR) and renowned portrait artist, Elize Bezuidenhout. Victoria has a distinctive expressive painting style which is full of energy which she enjoys bringing into her lessons.
