ABOUT
The Betsie Beers are a Cape Town based, two to six piece ‘New grass’ country band.
Formed and fronted by sisters, Landi Degenaar on banjo, vocals and harmonica and Zel Degenaar on guitar, vocals and stomp box, the band has grown to include Gerhardt Claassen, on the electric guitar and dobro, Wouter Reyneke on bass, and the occasional guest artist to add an extra bit of flavour.
With happy heartbreak harmonies filled with beautiful, poetic lyrics, the Betsies will have you foot stomping, hip jiggling and hand clapping (and even possibly a bit teary eyed) throughout every gig. A definite must to see!
