ABOUT

Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) is a classroom based course with video instruction and practical components. The course is aimed at pre-hospital and in-hospital healthcare workers. BLS-HCP is a pre-requisite for all American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Courses.


The course content includes:


  • CPR for adults, children and infants
  • Using a BVMR and pocket mask
  • Using an Automated External Defibrillator
  • Management of choking


Please note that this course is being held in OUDTSHOORN. AMS is able to offer training at your location upon request - please contact us to discuss this service.


Once your booking is confirmed, you will receive a confirmation and your course manual. The examination is both a practical competency and a written exam. On successful completion of the course, candidates will receive a BLS-HCP card & CPD certificate for 15 points.


Please note: The course fee covers the cost of the training course and manual, as well as tea and coffee. The AMS does not provide or pay for any travel, accommodation, food or subsistence costs: these are entirely the responsibility of the course attendees.
