What is God Really Like?

When you imagine God, what image comes to mind? 

For so many of us, we imagine God as someone who is inclined to be against us, not for us. 

We picture God as someone who is always looking for an opportunity to judge us; a God who expects perfection from us at all times.

It is little wonder, then, that many have come to view the Christian life as being largely defined by judgment, condemnation, and the expectation of perfection.

The danger comes when our conception of God does not resemble the way God actually is.
