ABOUT
Get a taste of an indigenous plant based meal from India, and learn about indigenous science and art of food -- how the Indigenous of India take care of their own well being and the well being of their ecology in their approach to food.
A morning to cook, taste and chat about all things food.
You'll learn how to capture wild yeast, make natural probiotics and healthy millets part of your daily diet, and get a taste of a disappearing Indian forest food.
COST: Brought to you in the Spirit of Gift. Donations towards Aparna's time gratefully received.
Your Host: Aparna Pallavi
Aparna Pallavi is a former eco-journalist who has been working on indigenous issues and indigenous forest foods for more than 20 years. For the past 3 years she has been exclusively studying forest foods in India and the food cultures around them on a personal project that is not funded. She works in spirit of gift, supported only by people's generosity. Her research is now nearly complete and she will soon settle down to write her book.
