Brian’s Kitchen Pop-Ups in his light-filled Pringle Bay home, offers foodie experiences for up to eight guests at a time.


As a trail-blazer in the Banting/Low-Carb field, Berkman shed nearly half his body weight by following the diet popularised by Prof Tim Noakes. “Meals will be Banting friendly. I avoid sugar and carbs carefully so there will be plenty to enjoy for others who do too, but also loads of options for vegetarians and for those who enjoy baked goods and confectionery,” he says.



Expect items such as chicken liver pate as well as hummus with home-baked bread and crackers;

Smoked, slow-cooked and shredded beef brisket in a rich tomato sauce,


Vegetarian chickpea, turmeric and egg curry;


Cauliflower puree and steamed broccoli;


Green salad with a selection of local cheeses,


Followed by a rich and 100% non-Banting chocolate brownie, carrot cupcakes or peanut butter cookies with coffee/tea.

Guests are invited to bring their own wine.


Dishes will be set up family-style for guests to help themselves as many times as they wish.

Long lunches are R350 per person.
