'Maskandi' Masterclass with Qadasi & Maqhinga 

Hailing from the heart of Zululand, SAMA nominated Maskandi duo, Qadasi & Maqhinga, will be giving a Masterclass on 'Maskandi' music - one of SA's signature traditional genre's which is best known for its unique guitar style.

The duo will give live demonstrations on traditional guitar and concertina and discuss the following topics:

- The history of 'Maskandi'

- How the genre has changed over time

- Different styles of Maskandi

- Song composition and arrangement

- The 'izibongo' - praise poetry
