Come join us for Magical Theatrics and good old Carnival Vibes brought to you by Pop UP Theatre!
With the Reconcilliation weekend as inspiration and theme - three top South African theatre makers and performing artists are collaborating to bring your children an Epic 2-Day Kids' Carnival!
RECONCILE with this Earth, with your family and community and enjoy..

and FUN and games all packed into two epic days.
Everyday we will have kids theatre shows with workshops, including pieces by MAfrika, Jungle Theatre Company and The Psychedelic Theatre. You can enjoy the gift market at no cost - while your children enjoy the show.

Our venue, Imaginarium Muizenberg, is on 111 MAIN RD (opposite 7-10 shop) just a little walk up from MUIZENBERG BEACH - plenty of parking at Checkers mall - or across the road from the venue.
We chose 10am-3pm daily for the main events - as it's a good time to be out of the sun... then you can head back to the beach for sunset :)

ABOUT THE SHOWS
These are the main shows on the schedule (remember your ALL ACCESS pass - gives you access to all of these on both days)
Python and the Qunube Tree – by Jungle Theatre - 10:00am-11:15am on both days
An African tale set in ancient times, this is a story of the drought that nearly starved all the animals, how Python and Tortoise saved the day. Told through puppetry, masks and songs, this story teaches children the importance of sharing, perseverance and trust.
The LooneyVerse, Vortex tell Fresja’s Story – by The Psychedelic Theatre and Fresja & Friends - 11:30-12:45 on both days
An interactive black light story-telling show that takes you into the magical vortex story of Fresja - a precious little caterpillar who deals with bullying and tries to hide - until she discovers she’s more that what she expected…
MAfrika – by Nicola Jackman and Fresja and Friends - 13:30-14:45 on both days
MAfrika is the little being from the land of MinXa that uses her inTENtion to courageously grow love & joy with thousands. This Naledi nominated show has reached 15 000 people already throughout Africa and the world, and is now also a book.
