ABOUT

We present to you a festival for the arts, for the travelers, for the explorers, for those who get lost in between each gap a word represents and embraces the emotion that is calling out. This is for the people that let their lively pens touch a piece of memory and create beauty that sores through every line. It is for the dreamers, the writers and the readers, we invite you all to come celebrate a day of magic!

What we will be doing:

This is a place for those who rate or love to read to come and explore and integrate themselves in local literature with more than 20 local authors selling their work and doing book signings, we will also have talks by published authors on how to get your work out there, the best publishing routes, what makes a great story, how to get your books onto the shelves and, of course, how to sell your books. What would a Writers Bloc event be without poetry? We will be launching Writers Bloc's first book at this event and have our poets performing with their hearts on their sleeves as well as an open mic slot for all else to express themselves, living up to our motto "express what is inside your chest".

Is the event child friendly?

Yes, it is great fun for everyone! However, we will not be having any child minders at the event.
