ABOUT

For two nights we will convert the (surprisingly cool) warehouse space that is part of the Snoekies complex, into a Hout Bay's own harbour-side cinema!!


"Life is Wonderful: Mandela's Unsung Heroes" is an brilliant documentary, released just a little earlier this year, extensively featuring our own local anti-apartheid hero Denis Goldberg, along with surviving triallists and legal defence team, and tells the extraordinary story of the Rivonia trial and the people


Written and directed by UK film-maker and retired high court judge Sir Nick Stadlen, the film was critically acclaimed in London in July at its screening at the Royal Festival Hall.


Tickets R150, includes fish & chip snack generously donated by Snoekies, and intro/Q&A by Denis Goldberg himself :-) A limited quantity of half price subsidised tickets are available for people who need them - email Lavinia at [email protected]. Soft drinks and popcorn will be on sale, and you are welcome to bring a bottle if you like :-)


All proceeds will be donated to the Denis Goldberg Legacy Foundation Trust towards the House of Hope arts & education centre in Hout Bay
