ABOUT
This one-day Basic Fire Fighting programme is aimed at all employees appointed as fire fighters or first time responders.
PROGRAMME OUTLINE:
• The legal framework for firefighting in workplaces;
• Understanding types and causes of fires;
• Fire prevention in the workplace;
• Knowing and operating basic firefighting equipment;
• Applying basic firefighting procedures;
• Activating the emergency services;
• Fire safety in the workplace.
The programme is NQF aligned and delegates shall receive a Certificate of Competence on successful completion.
