WHERE: Cowhouse market, Hazeldean, Pretoria
WHEN: 24 Nov, RACE STARTS AT 15:00. (please arrive earlier for registration)
General rules of a Beer Mile apply.. drink one beer, run a quarter mile, drink another beer, run a quarter mile, drink the third beer, run a quarter mile, drink your last beer and run the last quarter mile. Puking results in a horrible cleanup and disqualification.
Entries are limited according to entry type:
single entries: works as explained above.
Team Entries: 4 Team members, the team gets a crate of beer and needs to carry it whilst running/walking the mile. Beer needs to be finished by the end of the mile, with all empties and all team members present.
The Purely Pretoria Beer Mile is much more than a competitive beer mile, it's an event created out of the passion of the brewers, a passion for great beer and even better friendships.
You will leave this event with amazing memories with your friends, waiting in anticipation for the follow up.
It's all about having fun and drinking beer!
After the run there will be a night market at the Cowhouse, so stick around for the evening, have a few more beers and enjoy the great live music and food that the Cowhouse provides!
By agreeing to take part in the Purely Pretoria Beer mile:
* I declare I will be 18 years or over on the day of the event
* I am fully aware of the actual and potential risks in participation in this event
* I declare that I will not compete in the race unless I am medically fit on the day of the race and that, in any case, I will compete at my own risk.
* To the extent permitted by law, I accept that the organizers and sponsors of the race, or any of their agents, will not be liable for any loss, damage, action, claim, costs or expenses, which may arise in consequence of my participation of the event.
* Nothing in these terms of use shall exclude or limit the liability of the organizers or their agents for death or personal injury due to its negligence or for its fraud
* I grant my permission to Purely Pretoria and its sponsors, assigns and licenses to use or authorize others to use photographs, motion pictures, recordings, data or any other record of my participation in this event for any legitimate purpose without remuneration
* I have read and understand the above
