Guitar Maestros Dave Ledbetter and Tito Al Uribe

Chilean jazz guitarist, Tito Al Uribe teams up with multi instrumentalist & well-known Cape Town Jazz vocalist, arranger & band leader, Dave Ledbetter, to present an evening of collaborative works. This once-off performance will feature repertoire from both artists and fresh takes on their favourite Jazz pieces.

After pioneering Latin rock and later jazz in Belgium, in 2015 Uribe moved from his native Chile to settle in Rwanda where he has been interacting with many Rwandan musicians. A multi-style solo guitarist, arranger, and composer of 40 years, Uribe is a perfect compliment to Ledbetter's lyrical and poignant performances.

Dave is a musical wizard who needs no introduction to South African audiences. He has performed with South Africa’s top jazz musicians alongside Manu Dibango, Jimmy Dludlu, Sibongile Khumalo, Miriam Makeba, Ray Phiri and Robbie Jansen and many others. Ledbetter has featured several times on the National Jazz Festival in Grahamstown, and was the man responsible for the music and madness of the Truly Fully Hey Shoo Wow band – a popular Cape Town combo. He has recorded 2 albums, and has appeared on countless others as a sought-after session guitarist and pianist, including collaborative group, Deep South.
