ABOUT
Khayelitsha's award winning Shack Theatre - Makukhanye Art Room is hosting 2 double bills of theatre plays, a night with Addiss Ababa Musical Band, Cofa & Friends Poetry Session and also an extravagant traditional dance challenge of more than 15 groups on the heritage day. This programme consists of 4 artistic genres such as Music, Theatre, Poetry and Visual Art Paintings.
Makukhanye Art Room is famously known for showcasing the real talent and healing yet provocating the other. Theatre to them, has to heal the unhealed, educate the uneducated and inspire the uninspired.
For their 22nd September programme, they will showcase 2 theatre double bill shows, and a musical concert by Addis Ababa Ensemble!
For their 23rd September programme, they will showcase a tap & dance choir show, and a poetry gathering!
Last but not least on the 24th September, come be amazed by a traditional dance competition featuring 15 dance groups!
