This event is where we sit down and chat with influential CEOs from around South Africa. This series isn't about profiling how incredible these men and women are, instead we want to understand the trials and tribulations of what it took to get there, the many mistakes they made and ultimately how this could translate into success for you and me.
Our next guests in this series are Margaret and Allan Hirsch, founders of Hirsch’s Homestores. An appliance repair man who unwittingly became an entrepreneur, Allan Hirsch and his wife Margaret, started their family run appliance business in a tiny showroom in Umhlanga Rocks Drive, Durban, in 1979, with just R900 that they had saved. Today Hirsch’s has grown into a chain of mega appliance and home furnishing stores in KZN, Cape Town and Gauteng.
We look forward to gaining further insights into their personal journey and some of the challenges that they had to overcome to get where they are today.
