@Lunkulu Island (Accessible through Wantone Mukono and Jinja) Signposts to be put up on different turns of the newly tracked road.. 

*The Rapture party started out as a celebration of the brand name that is Dj Rachael in 2016 and now it has blossomed into this mini DJ Festival on an island all on it's own. This year's edition, the Rapture Rave 2018 Jungle Madness has set it's location on the newly opened Lunkulu Island Off Mukono road, 42km from Kampala city, 60km from Jinja town. This is the new home of the renown Bayimba International festival.

You can access the venue by the fully tarmacked road 1hr 56 mins through the Nkonkonjeru/Katosi road right through to the footbridge and walk to the grounds while enjoying the green natural environment, or you can go the shorter route 1hr 30mins drive right through to the Kibanga landing dock and continue by boat for a 7min ride to the Lunkulu Island grounds. For three days of raving camping fun from Friday 28 to Sunday 30th Sept the DJs rappers and fire troopers from East Africa UK, USA, Africa well from far and wide, will take you on an incredible journey of pure bliss and fun. Featuring acrobatics and fire spitters from Circus pros from Uganda and USA, percussionists and Mcs from Uganda,Congo and beyond it's bound to have something tickling everybody.

The ambience and serenity on the Lunkulu grounds in itself will be a welcoming factor of adventure for all the revellers. You can go swimming in the lake, especially in the morning, go biking, bird watch, chat with the monkeys or do treks in the lush forest-like surroundings on the grounds. Then come right back to the camp take a nap in your tent or even read a book (It's that peaceful) then later check out the numerous acts on the several stages that we've put up for you or late night rave on the beautiful lakeshore Electronic DJ stage. The night cold you ask? No way will you feel it coz you will have an option of lighting up numerous bonfires from the masses of deadwood. 

The long walks around the island will probably have you fitter than a drunk running from kawunyemu though it would be a bonus to start your gym/aerobic sessions prepping for the adventure and trim that beer belly. We betcha..!

The all encompassing Rapture Rave festival seeks to give an equal opportunity to both genders to help level the ground on this international platform that's why you will see something you haven't seen on most of the other festivals/events around our little big Africa.
