Picnic and exhibition: 11:00am – 5:30pm
Heritage tours: 12:00pm and 2:00pm
Registration for Heritage tours: 11:00am and 1:00pm at the Information table
Registration for auction: 4:30pm – 5:30pm at the Information table
Art auction: 5:30pm – 7:00pm
Bring your picnic blanket and basket*, and enjoy a day out in the gardens amidst artwork, sculpture, music and drama performance. Heritage tours will be offered to limited guests, upon registration. Complimentary tea and cake will be served during the exhibition; and cocktails and canapés prior to the auction.
Funds raised will benefit the restoration of the magnificent Sir Herbert Baker designed homestead; to preserve the historical heritage of the 116 year-old school.
The exhibition and auction will feature high-end artwork from exceptional local artists, both Masters and Emerging, such as JH Pierneef, William Kentridge, Fringe, and Justice Mukheli; as well as St Andrean artists, Claire Scheepers, Sarah Cronin and selected Matric art students. Limited parking will be available on-site via St Andrew's avenue and the side gate at Johnston road.
In the event of rain, the function will still continue, as the outdoor sculptures are weather-proof, and the paintings will be housed indoors.
Children are to be supervised by their parents at all times.
No tickets will be available at the gate. All tickets need to be purchased in advance online; and you will need to bring your printed ticket for access to the event.
*Please note that food and beverages will not be on sale on the day. Braaiing is not permitted.
