ABOUT
Hanli Stapela (soprano) and Misha Melck (piano) will perform a selection of beautiful 'arie antiche' (old Italian arias) by composers such as Monteverdi, Caccini and Caldara. This will be followed by two of Sibelius’ Finnish songs, dreamy mélodies by Reynaldo Hahn, Strauss Lieder and finally, Dell’Acqua’s Villanella.
Menu:
Hors d'oeuvre: Salmon mousse on dill biscuits
Starter: Angel hair pasta coated with mascarpone cheese and dusted with biltong
Mains: Karelian Hot Pot (Karjalanpaisti), a finnish dish of lamb and beef served on mustard mash potatoes, Finnish cauliflower, and a warm blackbean salad.
Dessert: Schwarzwald Cake served with a cherry syrup
