So here is some info of what a Rubiks cube party is all about:

It’s probably safe to assume that anyone reading this is at least familiar with the Rubik’s Cube–otherwise, chances are you’re too young to be partying. The basic idea of the Rubik’s Cube party is as follows: guests show up in an outfit that features six items of clothing/accessories with each item corresponding to a different colour on a Rubik’s Cube (red, white, blue, yellow, green, and orange). As the night goes on, partiers swap articles of clothing with the other guests. The goal is to leave in an outfit that’s all one colour–if you do, you have solved the Rubik’s Cube!

You will be given a designated colour to try and collect over the night. To keep things balanced there will be 10 people designated to each respective colour. You will be given a choice as to which colour you would prefer to collect but it is all based on a first come first serve basis.

Once you have determined your base colour, a single item of clothing may be swapped during each transit between the 5 destinations on our party bus route around Durban North starting at Hops Riverside and eventually ending back at Hops at around 10pm.

Once we return to Hops (and the last clothes-swap is over) we’ll be giving out PRIZES for the BEST/MOST OUTRAGOUSLY dressed. Remember the cooler the items of clothing and accessories you start with the easier it will be to swap and barter with your fellow party revellers so get creative and stand out!

Rubik's Cube Party Tips:

• Dress in clothing and use accessories that you are happy to probably never see again. Once items have been swopped and the party is running at full throttle it may be a tad difficult to keep track of your favourite apparel.
• Wear bright, solid colours
• Don't wear see-through underwear or anything you wouldn't want people to see at a party. We’ll be doing all our swopping on the bus so privacy will be at a nice fat zero.
• Accessories such as head bands, wrist bands, hats, wigs, sunglasses,belts etc. are very much encouraged (just again don't wear anything you want to keep, so a visit to pep, everlasting or your old clothes cupboard may be in order).

R100p/p covers the bus including a shot on the bus during each transit. I have organised a 60 seater beast boasting massive sound, disco lights, the works! You are even allowed to bring your own drinks on the bus as long as they are in coolers! Bonus!
