The Event

American-South African composer Joel Karabo Elliott is an alchemist of musical ecology. Born in Kansas and reborn in Limpopo, Joel embodies a rainbow culture of unity while his music harmonizes African and Western languages and styles. For his performance at Lucit Theatre on 3 August 2018, JKE will be joined by Lantern Seka Maleka (of Diepkloof, Soweto) on percussion, and this Roots Grown Deep duet will carry the listener on a story-sound journey through our beloved landscapes, connecting the soul to its search for adventure, love and ascension. 

Cover charge is R 150 and includes a bowl of vegetable curry and rice.
You can add chicken, lamb or beef for and extra R 30.
The show starts at 19:00 . Doors open at 18:00
