Cape Town's First Street food festival:
STREET FOOD TALKS
 
Spend the day with Cape Town’s street food specialists and start your own business, be inspired or just join in the food fun. Pop-up pioneer Yang Zhao opened her own restaurant, Mucho Gusto have turned their dreams into a Cape Town and Johannesburg-based catering company and will soon be opening their own bagel bar and Andy Fenner has built one of Cape Town’s most reputed and most recognisable food retail brands.
 
Talks description
This one-day seminar features talks by some of Cape Town’s most dynamic food
entrepreneurs, sharing their own experiences and lessons learned from the challenges they faced along the way.

Topics will include:
  • What can set you apart from the rest
  • Important moments along the journey (things they wished they had known and things they would do differently)
  • On the street vs retail
  • Business planning and management
  • Knowing when to say no
  • Marketing your business and the importance of social media
  • Building your brand – the importance of choosing your name, your logo design and packaging design
