After the massive success of the past three years of hosting The Grand Exhibition International Burlesque Benefit in South Africa, we are thrilled to once again bring you this year's Johannesburg event.
What is The Grand Exhibition Burlesque Benefit you may ask?
#TGE is a marvellous burlesque show, featuring the local kings and queens of the burlesque community. It is a celebration of beauty and artistic expression, which not only serves to entertain audiences, but also raise funds for charity.
This year we would like to raise even more than ever before , so please take a look at the event on Quicket to find out how you can donate, buy merchandise or purchase tickets and show your support! Tickets go on sale from end of June!!!
We are excited to say that this year we have decided to donate a significant percentage of the profits to HALO Foundation. This is a project of Jennifer Leighton’s, a legend in the SA Showgirl scene. By supporting her charity organisation, we spread the love within our community and support a cancer cause which needs all the help they can get.
The ethos behind The Grand Exhibition brings burlesque dancers and lovers of burlesque together; to raise much needed funds for a variety of charities across South Africa. By showcasing our artform, we as a Burlesque Community join together to celebrate empowerment through dance while donating our performances towards creating a magical spectacle of beauty and sensuality for our esteemed audiences to enjoy!
#TheGrandExhibition2018 will showcase Johannesburg’s TOP burlesque talent, with acts ranging from seasoned professional solo performances to sensational group numbers from Black Orchid Burlesque SA and phenomenal Independent Performers who support the budding local burlesque community! We also have a very special guest this year, so keep your eyes on this page for announcements over the next two months!
Enjoy the indulgent atmosphere of this gorgeous venue; be mesmerized by a spectacular burlesque show; and then dance until midnight as Soirée invites us to the after party (entrance free for all Grand Exhibition ticket holders)!

Doors open 6pm
Show starts 7pm sharp
Venue- Soirée in Johannesburg, Fourways
Dress code- Smart Casual or Dress to the 9's!!!
Tickets- R180 per person online, or R220 at the door. Save yourself the hassle and book in advance.
* Warning- this venue has limited seating, so get there early for first come-first served seats! However, you can stand comfortably from anywhere in the venue and see the action on stage perfectly, we promise*
