Thabiet is the CCO of TENCENT AFRICA SERVICES ( Chief Commercial Officer –Music )
He previously held the position of head of content and ecosystems for Samsung Electronics Africa, where he was responsible for funding and growing tech start-ups that supplied services to Samsung across Africa.
In this role he represented Samsung at global forums including working bodies at the United Nations.
Prior to joining Samsung, Thabiet worked at both MTN and Vodacom, heading their content teams.
He was responsible for launching Ring Back Tones in South Africa and also launched various music and media services including Vodacom Color and Samsung Kleek.
