ABOUT
Milnerton High School will host a Gala Evening for their production of Annie on Friday 24th August at 7pm. This glamourous evening will offer guests a cheese and wine buffet before enjoying the iconic show, Annie in the school auditorium. Tickets cost R 125.00.The School is proud to present the iconic, much loved musical, Annie written by Thomas Meehan, music by Charles Strouse, lyrics by Martin Charnin and Directed by Laura Bosman, (District Six 2010, Hairspray 2012, Grease 2015 and The Full Monty 2017).
This heart-warming tale centres around little orphan Annie who lives in an orphanage run by the unpleasant Miss Hannigan until billionaire Oliver Warbucks invites her to spend the Christmas holidays. This takes her on an exciting adventure filled with excitement, mistaken identity, drama and ultimately, hope.
Musical highlights from the show include “Maybe,” “It’s the Hard Knock Life,” “You’re Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile,” “Easy Street,” “I Don’t Need Anything But You” and the unforgetable, “Tomorrow.”
