Marius Meyer, CEO, SABPP

Marius Meyer is CEO of the SA Board for People Practices (SABPP), the professional body for HR practitioners and Education and Training Quality Assurance Body for HR in South Africa. Previously Marius lectured in HRD at the University of South Africa and University of Johannesburg and he is still involved in academic work for North-West University and the Midrand Graduate Institute.  He has been an HRD practitioner, consultant, academic and manager for the last 24 years. Marius is registered as a Master HR Professional and Mentor with SABPP.  He was an advisory board member of the African Society for Talent Development, as well as South Africa’s first talent management magazine, Talent Talks.  Marius is a regular speaker at local and international conferences and author of 24 books and 400+ articles. He has a passion for leadership, strategy, governance, change management and people development.

Steven Hyman, Mindful Revolution

After completing his masters in economics at the University of Antwerp, Steven joined the Africa department of an international trading company. Living in Nigeria and later in South Africa, he travelled throughout the whole African continent to develop new business and start up and manage new offices. To stay well equipped for the high demands of the corporate environment and the frequent travelling, Steven started practicing yoga and mindfulness in 2008.  In 2013/2014 he completed his first yoga teacher training and a mindfulness based living course after which he promptly left his corporate job to spread the benefits of these ancient practices with as many people as possible. Through his infectious joy and energy and playful approach, Steven motivates participants to try out mindfulness practices, stretches and breathing techniques and take positive steps towards increasing their resilience, creating more awareness and sparking creativity and innovation in both work and personal life.

Cynthia established the company with the aim of promoting the proactive management of workplace ethics and of providing practical support to organisations to improve their ethical status.She has worked in the field of ethics for more than a decade. Her research and teaching led her to develop a web-based ethics survey, the Ethics Monitor. This serves as an easy-to-use tool to enable organisations to accurately measure, monitor, manage and report on their ethics.She is the author of two books on ethics: Ethics: Giving a Damn, Making a Difference, published in 2012, and Ethics can, published in August 2014.
