Double C Fallen Angels Family-Friendly Run/Walk

Join me for one of my last training sessions before I leave to take on the Double C. This will be a short fun run or walk at Fallen Angels Pet Rescue.

There will be 4km and 7km options on a very flat gravel road.

The objective of this day is to raise much needed funds for Fallen Angels to cover their veterinary expenses, maintain their current structures and build upgraded wards for their animals (such as isolation wards for sick animals). All of the proceeds from this event will go to Fallen Angels.

On 9 June I will be attempting the run the Comrades twice in 24 hours. Basic idea is to start 17h30 on Saturday in Durban and run to the official start in PMB at 05h30 thereupon running to the finish in Durban and hopefully make cut off at 17h30.

In doing this I hope to raise awareness and funds for Fallen Angels Pet Rescue. Animals have always been very close to my heart as they cannot speak for themselves and are often neglected and forgotten about, I feel it is up to us as humans to speak up and take care of them. Fallen Angels Pet Rescue is a registered NPO (NPO 175-638) focusing on the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of domestic animals. Their mission is to save and improve the living conditions of animals in their immediate surroundings, while maintaining their rehabilitation. This may involve re-homing animals who are unwanted, unloved or lost (mostly focusing on township animals, but not limited to). Ultimately the rehabilitation of animals will involve children, which will then act as therapy for both the children and the animals.
