Overview:This POPI Compliance Workshop will give attendees a comprehensive overview of understanding the new data protection laws and regulations, and to identify methods in which to get its organization or other organizations to comply and thereby mitigating risks accordingly. We will discuss and provide practical application examples on each topic during this interactive Workshop.

About the Presenter:
Adv. Carien van Dijk is the Executive Director of Tax Services of The Supremacy Group. She is a Tax Advocate at the High Court and she is a Master Tax Practitioner at SARS. She obtained her LLB and LLM: Taxation from the University of Pretoria and is currently also a lecturer at Varsity College in Sandton.
Carien previously worked at FirstRand Bank Limited, where she was the Senior PAYE and TAA Specialist, focusing on the employment and tax administration requirements of FNB and FirstRand Corporate Centre. Previously she also formed part of the Employment Services Tax Team in PricewaterhouseCoopers – Sunninghill looking after various of big brand Companies. She sits on various of industry boards and deals daily with SARS and Department of Labour on behalf of clients.
