Join Alida Haarhoff and Janet Farquharson on the magical island of Zanzibar for this special Yoga and Wellness retreat. The retreat will be focused on healthy eating, yoga, and meditation, with spiritual and insightful workshops. There will also be plenty of time for chilling, swimming, journaling, and connecting with nature and the local community. This is a unique opportunity to gift yourself a spiritual experience in a peaceful island paradise!

This amazing retreat will be held at Uhuru Lodge in the rustic community village of Jambiani, on the East coast of Zanzibar island. Imagine waking up to the sound of the waves for a sunrise swim? Then a lovely morning yoga practise and a delicious fresh breakfast? Each morning, Alida will run a different insightful workshop after breakfast. Then its a time for a lunch feast and a free afternoon to reflect, snooze, have a massage, journal, chill, or meet the friendly local Masai tribe that sell their crafts on the beach:) 
We meet again at sunset for a restorative yoga practise, and a barefoot stroll down the beach to find some delightful dinner...

Arrive and settle into your hotel in Jambiani

  • 10:00 - 12:00 Introduction to numerology workshop
  • 12:00 - 17:00 Lunch followed by free time

ABOUT JANET &  ALIDA

Janet & Alida have been running retreats together for the last 5 years, and love to combine their different skills to provide a fun and safe environment for healing & transformation.
 

Janet is a freelance tour guide and yoga teacher. She began her yoga journey in 2007 and is currently teaching classes and workshops in Cape Town. She has spent much time traveling through Asia, India, and Africa, and is passionate about Eastern philosophy and culture. Her style of yoga focuses on breath awareness and body alignment and includes pranayama, chanting, meditation, and deep relaxation. She also loves drumming, sound healing, and preparing delicious conscious food .

Uhuru Beach Resort is situated in the village of Jambiani, a community village on the Tanzanian island of Unguja, part of Zanzibar, along the most beautiful part of the beach. Jambiani is a quiet, rustic, and remote village on the east coast of Zanzibar Island. We have especially picked this area as it is not as touristy and commercialized as other parts of the spice island. You will be staying in a very comfortable lodge which is situated right on the beach. The main village road runs just behind the beach.
