Catherine Barnhoorn is Mom to Mila, a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, and the award-winning author of Mila’s Meals: The Beginning & The Basics. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Psychology from The University of Cape Town; a diploma in Marketing and Visual Communications from AAA School of Advertising; and a certificate in Health Coaching (INHC) from The Institute For Integrative Nutrition. In her ‘previous life’. Catherine healed herself from various autoimmune conditions through diet and organic, holistic living and she is deeply passionate about empowering parents to make informed decisions with regards to what they feed their children and themselves. She firmly believes that food can be “the best form of medicine or the slowest form of poison.” Catherine sees her, and her daughter’s, food intolerances as a blessing which has led them down a path of learning, discovery and good health – which will hopefully stand them in good stead for years to come.

Sherry-Linn Grant is a Nutritional Therapist with a special interest in pregnancy, breastfeeding, weaning and toddler health. Sherry-Linn graduated from the Middlesex University with a first class honours degree in Nutritional Science and a diploma in Nutritional Therapy. She is also a mother of two young children and finds herself in the season of toddlerhood and babyhood. This combination has given her the practical experience to apply evidence-based nutrition within her field.

Bridget Albert is owner of GROW landscaping and a single mother to one year old Tristan. She has been in the industry for 20 years and went on her own in 2009 creating a company that focuses on sustainability. Since becoming a mother, she has turned her focus onto the developmental effects that the outdoors has on everyone young and old. Whether it be container, ornamental or edible gardens, she encourages every parent to get outdoors and physically involved in some form of gardening. This is extremely important in our ever evolving world of technology. Helping our children form connections with nature, build healthy immune systems and have an understanding of ecosystems.
