ABOUT
Professors of Brass at Cape Town University's College of Music William Haubrich, Alvin Dyers (brother of the late, great Errol) on guitar and Dave Ridgway (saw him play at Hanks with Swedish legend Saxophonist Per Thornburg a few weeks ago) on upright bass.I saw William play at Swingers in Ottery a few weeks ago and was blown away. The word "panache" comes to mind and with a bunch of players including the great Zeke le Grange, Camillo Lombard, Marcel Adams, Stephan and Timothy Ehrenreich and Lionel Beukes mmmmm I left the venue feeling a profound sense of wonderment and excitement at how Jazz could be.
