ValhallaLand is a community longhouse, inspired by Valhalla(), that we will build at AfrikaBurn and then move to The Land(*) in Knysna.
It is time to celebrate all of the people who have brought us to where we are right here and now. Who did you speak to yesterday? Who raised you? Who inspired you? Join us for an abundant feast in ValhallaLand. A feast in celebration of our ancestors and all the people on who’s shoulders we stand.
We are venturing into the world of the unknown. Expect the unexpected. We have all seen the value in a good surprise. Do you want to take the risk with us? Be the surprise itself? Imagine...
What would you wear to Valhalla? To your paradise? DRESS UP to fit in and out!
Think fire, amazing food, live music, interactive actors, experiences. Come sail your ship into the unknown with us as we search for the edge of the world, from 7 o’clock onwards.
The tickets are R180 per person and includes your entrance, food, a drink or two and full access to your imagination.
It’s a FEAST, a banquet. There will be abundance of delicious edibles catered for vegans, vegetarians and good meat eaters. Nothing will be wasted. Any leftovers will be handed out the next day. Contact us directly if you'd like to help out here in the afternoon :)
We would love to invite you to the Imaginarium, our studio space on 111 Main Rd in Muizenber - on the night, a metaphor for community longhouse itself, with our large table and you around it taking centre stage.

(*)Valhalla, in Norse mathology is a majestic, enormous hall located in Asgard. Fallen warriors are taken there by valkyries, angels of the dead. It is the place where heroes feast in order to make themselves whole again.
(**)The Land is literally a piece of our earth between Sedgefield and Knysna. It's an off-the-grid, sustainable, community in it's infancy that aims to become a forest restoration project, a creative retreat for people to reconnect with themselves and nature.. and who knows what more!
