ABOUT
Brel’s passionately haunting songs, which showcase his unique take on the human condition, are the focus of the programme. Jannie has established himself as an exponent of Brel chansons since the late eighties. His first performances of Brel was in Club ’58, Hillbrow, in the cabaret Van Berlyn tot Bapsfontein (1988) with Laurika Rauch. Two Brel songs – Madeleine and Liefde van later – became trademarks of Jannie’s shows and will be performed again in the romantic setting of the Lucit Restaurant water garden.His show will be preceded by a lunch with a French flair.

Hors d'oeuvre: Cauliflower rösti with Dijon mustard
Starter: Quiche Lorraine with a salad
Mains: Cassolette of duck, lamb, beef and bacon prepared with broad beans, berlotti beans, black beans and butter beans according to a traditional French recipe.
Dessert: Apple pie.
