ABOUT
A scenic hike around part of the base and up the Gorge of the Klein Wellington Sneeukoppie Peak found just out of Cape Town.
Very gradual elevation gain with spectacular views prior to getting into the gorge. It becomes a different world when you get to the waterfall area(like nothing you experienced before) but we'll let you be the judge!
Distance: 8km
Time: 6hours (hike/swim/lunch/breaks)
Fitness level requirement: Good hiking experience or very active lifestyle. Endurance needed. If you hiked up Table Mountain before without trouble you'll be fine.
Advantages: Priceless views, even more priceless Waterfalls, No concern of getting lost, gradual incline progression, awesome hiking team, skilled medic at hand.
Important: We may hike for 5 hours in total(including short breaks) for the day. Please note that this is not a run. The team is only as fast as the slowest person.
Our completion time depends on Fitness levels and group progression. It's not all uphill but time spent hiking in the sun can be tiring. Ensure you have a solid full breakfast. Drink enough water the day before to be well hydrated.
What to bring: Comfortable hiking gear and swimming costume, a wind breaker top, snacks/lunch and 1.5L of water.
